the highly anticipated squeaky lobster ep has been worth every second of the wait. in terms of sample / synth selection, song structure and sound quality, no expense has been spared. hi-fi synthetic drums intertwine with lo-fi sampled kicks & snares whilst heavy stretched out synth bass lines are topped with bollywood-esque string samples, 80s guitar bridges & plenty of other orchestral mayhem. the lush, thick melodic layers mount up into a frequently spine-tingling whole whilst the rhythm section, although outside the box, does by no means neglect the headnod factor. the incredible feat here is that although no 8 bars are quite the same as the next, a sense of unity is preserved within each genre-defying track, making it the stuff of epic journeys. you may start your listening experience in front of your turntable, staring at the record spinning, but you will end up somewhere quite different, squeaky lobster has made sure of that. as man from phone number 770021 would say: >this is $50.000. good luck.<

ok we can do a long text here... but lets not do that.... fantastic track by recast (aka fluxion)! a blissed-out track that is lush and jazzy! the experience of years of precision crafting dubby tech soundscapes is brought to these tracks, which are grooving house vibes executed in the melodic but quirky manner of isolee or luomo. lorca music is on remix duty here and did a great job with a clattering, skittering groove that is somewhere between 2-step and brokenbeat, the result is heavy and provides a nice alternative to the two recast versions. this is pure techno as we like it... not the banging big room techno, but techno we know from pioneers such as derrick may, carl craig, john beltran, stefan robber and the likes. no shit... this is just one of the most beautiful records we ve heard in a while.

district of corruption is proud to present a very unique collaboration between dilo and egon orange. dilo hails originally from buenos aires and is known for connecting the two worlds of rock and electronics. dilo is currently living in a perpetual summer, splitting his time between berlin and buenos aires. dilo is running his own imprint, igloo records, and has released on numerous other labels such as we are, minus, clink, unfoundsound, and einmaleins. egon orange made is production debut in 2009 on igloo. egon has also been refining his unique live show for several years. >take me home< is a tech-house gem. strong and repetitive percussion is set against dilos own fragile voice make this a perfect summer storm. we expect you will want to take this one home as the memory of a perfect night out. >röte< is the perfect flip. warm special pads pulse along with deeply hypnotic percussion and bass. ear candy is abundant but this is a no-frills journey. >röte< gently develops with lush analog keys and heavily processed vocal oddities.
